“Set and Forget” the Fun of Grilling

October 15, 2009 · 1 Comment

We like to think we know our readers pretty well.  We are pretty confident that most of our readers actually enjoy creating a meal over an open flame.  If you are like me, which I think most of you are, you enjoy the experience of grilling as much as the actual end product.

On the other hand, we could be wrong and one of you might have wandered over here looking for a product to take all of the joy work out of cooking.  If you are one of these people, the set it and forget it grill might just be for you!  This grill essentially looks like a George Foreman type grill with a temperature probe.  So not only will this waffle iron grill squeeze all of the life out of your meat, it will even alert you when the meat is done!  All you have to do it pry yourself off the couch and make a plate.  It’s just like grilling, only no fun!  If you are into that kind of thing, you can check them out here.

Man cannot live by pork chop alone. Every now and then you must sauce it up a bit. This smokey green sauce blends great with a pork chop. The combination of roasted poblano peppers, tomatillos and garlic make a savory sauce. This might also make a great base for a roasted corn and black bean salsa, which I might have to try some day soon. I'll let you know when I do. It's best to cook this recipe on a charcoal grill, so that the smokey flavor gets infused into the peppers and tomatillos and a side of mushrooms
