Stolen Ribs?

October 15, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I’ve seen everything now.  According to this article, 3 teen theives made off with this poor lady’s ribs while they were still on the grill!  You’d have to be pretty hungry to want to steal someone’s ribs, especially since these were presumably not even done cooking.  I wonder how long these kids “staked out” the grill, planning their big caper.  Maybe this lady is known for some REALLY great ribs.  The image is pretty humorous if you think about it.  I can’t help but think of those old Little Rascals episodes where someone steals the pie off of an old lady’s window sill…

Read about the stolen ribs here.

One other thought crossed my mind when reading this. Buffalo must be a pretty good place to live if the most news-worthy crime is a BBQ meat stealing ring!

Man cannot live by pork chop alone. Every now and then you must sauce it up a bit. This smokey green sauce blends great with a pork chop. The combination of roasted poblano peppers, tomatillos and garlic make a savory sauce. This might also make a great base for a roasted corn and black bean salsa, which I might have to try some day soon. I'll let you know when I do. It's best to cook this recipe on a charcoal grill, so that the smokey flavor gets infused into the peppers and tomatillos and a side of mushrooms
