Blue Ember Gas Grill Recall

October 15, 2009 · 1 Comment

If you purchased a Blue Ember gas grill between November 2007 and June 2008, check this site to see if your model has been recalled.  You should stop using the grill immediately until you replace the hoses and inspect the grill for improper assembly.  The company that makes the grill, Fiesta, has received 14 reports of fires caused by the hose being too close to the burners and melting.  Exposed gas plus an open flame, I think you can understand the danger here…

I have this Blue Ember barbecue and just hada massive fire where even the propane line burnt off! The propane tank and barbecue were on fire and luckily escaped with my life! Nobody seems to want to do anything about it! Who can I contact at the manufacturer?

Man cannot live by pork chop alone. Every now and then you must sauce it up a bit. This smokey green sauce blends great with a pork chop. The combination of roasted poblano peppers, tomatillos and garlic make a savory sauce. This might also make a great base for a roasted corn and black bean salsa, which I might have to try some day soon. I'll let you know when I do. It's best to cook this recipe on a charcoal grill, so that the smokey flavor gets infused into the peppers and tomatillos and a side of mushrooms
