How a Grill Flavors a Steak

April 23, 2019 · Leave a Comment

I got halfway through this video from Saveur Magazine before I realized there were subtitles with big words explaining how various grill fuels flavor your meat. Something about the sizzling fat, even at 6:30AM, had me mesmerized. If I were to nitpick, I’d say the gas grill does add a little flavor through the same process explained at the beginning of the video. Fat drips from the meat onto the burner shields, producing smoke. I wouldn’t advocate for gas over charcoal or wood as a fuel though so I will just let it go.
