The meat does stick sometimes on frozen (then thawed) tails. Doesn't happen all of the time and I don't know a way around it. If anyone has a tip, please share here.

they were tasty yet the meat stuck to the shell and was difficult to pull out of the shell. The lobsters were frozen and thawed before attempting this recipe.

Thanks for the recipe. I did not want to wait for the pot to boil and my hubby was starting the grill. I googled "lobster on grill" and came up with your recipe. It was excellent! We had filet mignon, lobster, asparagus and champagne... HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Tried this recipe tonight and oh man was it phenomenal. Served it with two New York strips, fresh corn on the cob, baked potatoes, and a side salad. And for desert I tried your bacon wrapped bananas. Wow!

That sounds amazing! I'll be down on Duck Key in two weeks. We'll be offshore each day, but I will have to find some lobster to cook with our tuna and Mahi at night!

we do this a bit different down in Key West. Lobster is a local catch for us so we cook it plenty. we still split, then soak them in a butter/garlic/key lime mixture. wrap them in a tin foil pocket with some minced garlic and a bit more butter *cant have too much butter* and grill them like you would a potato rolled in foil. this keeps the tail from getting dried out from the flame and OMG they taste amazing. like fall apart in your mouth. give it a shot.

This recipe is easy and very good. I didn't have any lemons so i used an orange and it was delicious. And I used mini lobster tails too. For my first time making lobster, its definitly worth adding to my recipe cards!

This was the first time I've grilled lobster, and it was fantastic!!! Most excellent!!! Superb!!!

Not only was it excellent - but it was fast and easy - so I'll be doing this again many times. In fact, I don't know if I'll ever boil them again or buy the expensive whole lobsters.

I put some garlic powder and white pepper in the basting sauce as a substitute for the garlic clove, and it was wonderful. I used a grill pan on top of my gas stove - so no need to use an outdoor grill.

I tried this once and it was awesome, my mother in law is from New Hampshire and I thought she would tear this apart... she loved it !
I'm cooking some more tonight, one question:
My meat was a bit stuck to the shell did I over cook it or maybe not enough?
Thank you very much for this excellent recipe.

I just grilled a 1.6lb tail the size of my arm and 2 10oz filets for Thanksgiving. Used garlic from a jar and bottled lemon juice as well. Worked wonderfully. Beats a turkey any day!

When i grill them, the soft side of the tail open, put butter garlic and a little salt and pepper. wrap in foil and let cook on the grill. It is amazing, might have to try the basting sauce. cant wait for surf and turn Friday night on my deck.

Just BBQ'd 3 (very small) tails. A new store in our area was selling them for $4.49 EACH! As good as these were, I should have bought a dozen and cooked 'em all up and made all my co-workers jealous with BBQ'd lobster for lunch.

YUM! Thanks.
